    内容提示

    通过本单元的教学,教师引导学生大胆地、自由地用流利的英语来谈论问题,并解决问题的建议,并让学生掌握一些谈论问题和建议的常用词汇和句型,培养学生团结协作、虚心接受他人意见的良好个人品质。

    教学目标

    1.谈论在学校和家庭中遇到的种种麻烦和问题

    2.为他人找到合理的解决办法,提出相应的建议

    教材分析

    本单元以What should I do 为话题,共设计了四个部分的内容:

    一、Section A

    该部分有4个模块:

    1.第一模块围绕these problems这一话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练;

    2.第二模块围绕Nari’s problem进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c)训练;

    3.第三模块就What do you think of the advice这一话题展开训练,训练形式为阅读填空(3a)和角色表演(3b);

    4.第四模块就啊 a Canadian boy wants to practice his Putonghua以Pairwork的形式进行讨论,展开口语训练(4)。

    二、Section B

    该部分有4个模块:

    1.第一模块就choose clothes展开思维训练;

    2.第二模块就Erin’s problem进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c)训练;

    3.第三模块围绕a letter to a newspaper advice这一话题展开阅读(3a-3b)和写作(3c)训练;

    4.第四模块仍就the best advice这一话题以口语训练形式为主展开小组活动(4)。

    三、Self Check

    该部分有2个模块:

    第一模块对所学词汇进行填空训练(1);

    第二模块就一封笔友来信展开阅读和写作训练(2)。

    四、Reading

    该部分共设置了5项任务:

    第一项任务以完成表格的方式激活学生相关背景知识(Section 1);

    第二项任务要求学生预测哪些词语将出现下面的阅读中(Section 2a,2b);

    第三项任务要求学生将词语和对应的释义对应(Section 3);

    第四项任务要求学生运用所供策略完成阅读,完成句子(Section 4);

    第五项任务通过讨论、写作等形式要求学生进行一次class survey. (Section 5)。

    第一课时

    教学目标

    1. 语言目标: 能谈论问题和给出建议。

    2. 目标语言:

    What should I do? You should write him a letter.

    What should he do? Maybe he should say he’s sorry.

    What should they do? They should talk about their problem.

    教学重点和难点

    1. 谈论问题: What’s wrong? / What’s the matter? / What’s your trouble?

    2. 给出建议: should, shouldn’t, could, why don’t you...?, Why not?

    教学过程

    一、话题导入

    1. 教师和全体同学说: I feel very bad today? 学生问:: What’s the matter?

    然后教师接着说: I have a cold.What can I do? 随机叫几个学生给出建议:

    S1: You can drink some hot water.

    S2: Have a good rest. See a doctor.

    教师引出本单元的话题:Thanks for youradvice. Today, we will talk about problems and give advice.

    2. 教师列出表格,分为Problem栏和advice栏,然后提出若干与学生生活密切相关的问题,如I want to buy a new guitar but I don’t have enoughmoney.,引导学生提出自己的观点,并写下学生的建议。

    二、教学Section A-1a,1b

    1.教师导出Ia部分的五个问题,再依据个人的观点,把问题按严重性的程度进行排序。这个内容实际上已在引导学生发表自己个人观点。

    2. 播放录音,引导学生一边看彩色插图,一边听录音,要求学生指出图中女孩存在的问题。(1,2,5),完成1b。

    3. 利用媒体资源中课件,播放动画What should I do,学生边听边跟读,注意自己的语音和语调。

    三、教学Section A-1c

    引导学生模拟1c中的对话,进行课堂结对活动。针对1a部分的五个问题分别提出个人建议,进行课堂口语交际。

    说明:建议可能多种多样,只要合理即可,同时让学生熟悉使用should和could提建议。

    四、教学Section A-2a,2b

    1.播放2a部分的录音,引导学生写下Nari的问题。教师将录音中出现的生词写在黑板上,并领读。

    2.重新播放录音两遍,提示学生注意should 和could,要求学生将2b中的Advice栏和Reasons栏进行连线。

    说明:有了前一部分的铺垫,再用2a,2b这两项听力练习来提高学生听的能力。

    五、教学Section A-2c

    教师让学生观察2a中的图片,讨论Nari和他的朋友间的谈话。教师将学生分成两人一组,编对话,然后叫几组学生将对话表演出来。

    六、教学拓展

    教师说出自己所面临的问题,向学生吗们征求建议: I have a serious problem. I argued with my best friend yesterday. Couldyou give me some advice?

    教师将学生分成两组,进行比赛,看看那组给出的建议最多。

    说明:通过这一任务,进一步巩固提建议的各种句式,同时用集体的力量让学生懂得更多的解决朋友间矛盾的方法,提高他们解决问题的能力。

    七、作业

    1. 抄写 Grammar Focus两边,并记忆。

    2. Robert是我们的外教,来自澳大利亚。他想更多的了解我们和中国,所以他得经常练习普通话。但是他现在每天要上很多课,没有那么多时间。他应该怎么提高汉语呢,给出一些建议,谈谈你的看法。

    第二课时

    一、导入

    教师说:Yesterday youhelped many people solve their problems,然后展示一张图片,图中的人物遇到了一些问题,比如说感冒,或是想买东西没钱,与人发生争吵等,教师接着说:Now please look at the picture. What’s wrong with thegirl? What should she do? Please give her some advice.教师提示学生注意使用下列句式: I think she should…/ She could / She’d better….

    说明: 图片在视觉上刺激学生,同时也复习了第一课时的重点句型,为本课时学生提建议奠定基础。

    二、教学Section A-3a

    1.教师说:Read the conversation in 3a. Find out the suggestions. Please underlinethe suggestions. I’ll give you only two minutes.

    2. 教师朗诵3a中的对话,让学生听,并在方框中标出个人观点good idea、okay idea、bad idea.

    3.标出新词汇,教学新词汇。

    说明:限时阅读,让学生带着任务快速阅读,在一定程度上培养学生的阅读能力。

    三、教学Section A-3b

    1. 教师说:I need some money to buy gifts for my family. What should I do? 学生以4人小组形式进行合作学习,并完成下列表格。

    2. 根据表格,编对话,教师可先叫一名学生和自己示范一个对话,降低学生的难度。

    例:A: I need somemoney to buy gifts for my family. What should I do?

    B: I think you should…

    A: Oh, no. I don’t like to do that.

    B: Then I think you should…

    A: That’s a good idea.

    说明:有了表格的铺垫,做这个pair work应该比较容易了。

    四、教学4

    1.引导学生针对Geoffey学普通话一事来提出一些合理性的建议,让大家相互交换观点,教师可给出一些可能会用到的句式。

    B: But he’s very shy. Maybe that’s not a good idea.

    2. 并请一些同学读给大家听,教师继续说:Do you have any other ideas? Tell us more ideas.
