Unit 3 The Internet-Listening&Speaking&Talking教学设计
This unit is aboutthe Internet, which is used by most people around the world, especially theteenagers who are easily addicted into the Internet. Faced with the situation,the students should be guided to use the Internet properly. So this part (listening and speaking ) is divided into two parts: Part A---ask about onlinehabit, Part B ---choose the best app. By observing others’ behaviors to theInternet, students may reflect their online behaviors and even correct theimproper online behavior. Part A is that Sam is doing an investigation for thethree students Anna, Paul and Joe about their online habits: time spent onlineevery day, online activities and the reasons for using the Internet. Part B isa conversation between Laura and Xiao Bo about choosing the right apps.
1. Students try to use definitions to understand the content oflistening texts.
2. Students learn to define words and understand an survey interview.
3. Students can use sentences ( "how much time do you spend onlineevery day? What do you usually do online?") to keep the conversationproperly.

Part A Listening and Speaking--- ask aboutonline habits
Step 1 Lead in--Small talk
Read the sentence of Bill Gates, and thenanswer the question: What does it mean ?
It means that theInternet is making the world closer and closer; we can communicate on theInternet like meeting at the town square.
Step 2 Before-listening
1) Read the phrases and write down theChinese meaning.2)Look at the onlineactivities in the box and write them under the pictures. Then tick the picturesof the activities that you like to do when you are online.

Step 3 While-listening

Step 5 Speaking---Work in pairs
Take turns to ask each other about your online habits.

A: It depends. Id say from half an hour to three hours.
B: What do you usually do online?
A: I listen to music, stream videos, or look up information. And you?
B: Lots of things. I especially like to chat with my friends and family.By the way, whats your favorite app?
A: Well, English Fun Dubbing.
B: Why do you like it?
A: Because there are lots of streams and I can dub interestingEnglish movie clips so I can learn English in a fun way.
B: Sounds amazing.
A: OK, let me teach you how to download the app.
B: Thanks a lot.
Part B Listening and Talking---choose thebest app
Step 1 Before-listening
Look at the pictures and try to express themin English.
