Hello,everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have anopportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is how to makecomparisons taken from
Section A of in Go for it! (8). It is made offive parts.
一、教材分析
(一)教材的地位及作用
1、新目标英语教材概述
《新目标英语》教材的语言教育理念是:知识用于行动,强调“语言应用”,注重实践创新的听说能力。它采用任务型语言教学(Task-basedLanguage Teaching)模式。
2、单元分析及教材处理
本课是新目标英语八年级上册第12单元Section A,教材以 What’s the bestradio station? 为中心话题,围绕What’s the best …?而展开,运用形容词原级,比较级和最高级,让学生学会表达个人的喜好和对事物或人的评价。本课教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,可引发学生进行大量口语交际练习。教材安排了许多听,说,读,写的任务活动,我将灵活运用这些活动,将其中的一些活动进行变化或整合,如:添加了两组联系实际的对话练习,将SELF-CHECK当中的话题改成课前预习的资料收集主题提前至SECTION A。
(二)教学目标
根据《英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述,结合第12单元的教材内容,我按知识目标、能力目标、情感目标、三个方面将本单元的教学目标细化:
1、知识目标:单词:学习掌握词汇theater,cinema, trendy, quality, comfortable, close to, screen, performer, radiostation, boring, popular等。
功能:学会比较和对人或事物的描述
结构:Superlativeswith – (i) est ,the most.
句型:What’s the best …? I like…than…,He/She likes…best.
2、能力目标:提高学生听、说、读、写及自学的综合能力。
3、情感目标:通过对人或事物的比较表达自己的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人,学会交换不同的看法,了解他人的喜好,增进情谊。
(三)教学重点难点
The superlative degree ofadjectives.
Irregular comparisons:good, better, the best, bad, worse,the worst
二、学情分析
初二上期的学生经过一年多的学习,有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实验的能力。本单元的主题是比较,可以采用活动教学法和Role playing的学习策略,学习新词汇,掌握重点句型,同时能比较好地运用到实践中,解决类似问题。
三、教法渗透
教法运用
本课主要运用“任务型教学法”,并辅助于情景交际教学法和五步教学法,展开以教师为主导,以学生为主体的师生双边活动。并及时鼓励表扬学生。

四、学法指导
1. 学会预习:发挥学生的主观能动性,变被动学习为主动学习,带着问题有目的地听课,可以更好地把握课堂的重点和难点,提高课堂效率。
2.竞争学习:通过人与人,组与组相互竞争提高学习兴趣与热情。
3.合作学习:积极参与2人或4人小组对话或活动,相互交流,互帮互助,合作完成任务,培养团队精神。
4.学以致用:善于抓住用英语交际的机会,充分感知,联系实际,积极体验,大胆实践。
五、教学程序:(45分钟全英文授课)
1.Play themusic Before class, let them listen to some music.
歌曲欣赏,以学生喜闻乐见的形式导入新课,为学生创造轻松愉快的学习气氛, 激发学生的好奇心,为学习新课打下伏笔。
2.GreetingGood morning, boys and girls.
微笑面对学生,让孩子们心情放松
3.Revision& Lead-in以“Do you lovelistening to the song?”“Which song do you like better,…or…?”“What do youlike best?”等简单句型引导出学生对歌曲进行比较的话题,不但可以复习学过的形容词原级和比较级,更以身边实例谈论,从两者比较级循序渐进过渡到三者或多者的最高级的使用
4.Pre-taskFirst let Ss guess the English words according to the pictures. Then ask Ss toexplain what the key word or phrase means in their own words in English. Askthem how they choose what movie theater to go to?”
通过采用形象生动直观的卡通图片熟悉关键单词,并由Cinema→Harry Potter→选择影院因素的“important” or “notimportant”,切入课文,完成1a。多媒体展示了同学们熟悉的活动,激发了学生对电影院各种因素比较的欲望。生活就是知识,对于他们熟悉的话题,学生总能大侃特侃,信心倍增。采用Brainstorm的教学方法并进行小竞赛,能使学生更积极地参与到课堂活动中。
5.While-task “All of you like to go to the movie,my three friends like, too. They live in a town, the town only has 3 movietheaters: Town Cinema, Screen City and Movie Palace. They are talking about themovie theaters,” let uslisten to them and match the statements with the movie theaters. Play therecording, ask Ss to write the names of each movie theater on the blank lineafter its description.
假设我的三个朋友也喜欢看电影,在他们小镇有三家影院,听他们的对话来判断最便宜最舒服最受欢迎的,顺利切入课文, 完成听力1b, 并运用1b所学到的最高级的表达,联系本地影院实际情况模仿对话,训练口语,完成1c的pair-work任务
6.Post-task “Of course, besides movie theaters,we like to wear pretty clothes or listen to the radio. On TV today a reporteris interviewing a boy, are you interested in their talk? If you have theinterest, follow me!” Let themlisten and Role play.
由看电影的喜好引申到喜欢买衣服和听广播,切入课文进行2a和2b,听录音判断记者和被采访者关于当地最好的服饰店和广播站;再听一次了解服饰店的具体特点。注重听力。最后运用所学,展开其它话题培养比较的口语训练。
7.Topic &Group-work “New Year iscoming, I want to travel, but I don’t know whichthe best city is to visit for winter vacation. Before class, I ask you to findsome information about cities in China! Now, who can introduce your favoritecity and give me some advice?”
这是Self-Check的内容,我把它提前是因为和SECTION A内容更有整体性。让老师扮演求助者的角色,向同学们求助,让学生利用课前预习将他们查好的相关资料(提供新年旅游出游的最佳城市)让学生开拓思维。
8.HomeworkFinish off the exercises on workbook. Preview the grammar box.
巩固课堂所用,灵活变通最高级的使用.

(2) Do as I do.(学生跟老师边说边做动作)
I read books on weekends.

Step 2 Revision and presentation
(1)教师问:“What do youusually do on weekends ? ” (并且板书)让学生根据自己的实际回答 I usually …… on weekends.
(2)教师出示动词卡片 watch TV、read books 、exercise 、clean、skateboard、 play basketball、wash clothes、go shopping、 go to movies让学生认读。
(3)做游戏:“ What’s missing?” (学生先把动词卡片全部读一遍,教师从卡片中任意抽掉一张,再让学生看卡片读动词短语,然后让学生说出抽掉的是哪一张词汇卡片。)
Step 3 Pattern drill and dialogue
(1)出示词汇卡片给学生,并提问:“What do youusually do on weekends?”引导学生回答: I usually …… on weekends.
(2)Task one “Find my group members.”
在规定时间内填完活动表格,再向周围同学开始询问,找出与自己课外活动大致相同的同学请他或她在每项活动后面签名。

一.说教材
1.教材的地位与作用:What’s the best radio station? 这单元是在unit 6 I’m more outgoing than my sister.学习了形容词比较级的基础上进一步学习最高级.通过复习和学习一些名词和形容词,练习最高级,让学生在完成任务的过程中,运用所学知识进行英语交流,培养运用英语解决实际问题的能力. This lesson is the first one of Unit 12.So if the Ss can learn it well, itwill be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.
2.教学目标:
(1).知识与能力:Master the importantwords like radiostation, comfortable, seat, screen,theater,cinema,worse,worst…..
本课主要句型:What’s the best …?It has the friendliest service./the bestquality/the most comfortable seat.It is the closest to home….
语法:形容词最高级及构成(规则和不规则good ,better,best, bad , worse , worst)
(2).过程与方法.:To develop the Ssabilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.To train the Ss abilityof working in pairs.
让学生在对比中运用比较级过度到最高级,培养学生学习英语的兴趣和应用英语实际交流的能力,进而提高学生听、说、读、写等能力。
(3)情感态度价值观:通过对学校及家乡的各种娱乐设施作比较,引导学生love school,love hometown ,love country.
3.教学重、难点:重点是掌握本课重点词汇,重点句型和最高级的用法即知识目标的内容,难点是形容词比较级和最高级构成法及正确运用.
二.学情分析
本课的教学操练点,谈论的话题是theater,cinema,radio station等学生平时接触的少了解少的场所, 再加上现在的中学生思维能力较强,但注意力容易分散。对英语普遍感兴趣,但有很大的不稳定性. 因此,本课采取独立呈现,综合操练的方式,让学生逐渐理解消化.在本课教学过程中,在注重启发引导的同时,更要注重教学方法的灵活性,激发学生学习的兴趣,让学生乐于接受,易于接受。
三.说教法
1.Teach English in English : 即新课标倡导的“用英语教英语”,尽量用英语教学,创造英语课堂良好的听的环境,让学生充分感知,积极体验,大胆实践,把握用英语交际的机会,鼓励学生大胆开口说英语。
2.Task-based teaching method突出重点,突破难点:倡导体验参与,培养自主学习能力,让学生带着任务有目的地上课,并在课堂学习中不断获得完成此任务所必须的知识、能力、技能等.
3. 游戏教学法:新课标倡导的“玩中学,学中玩”的理念很受学生欢迎。设计猜谜游戏练习最高级,既达到以旧带新的目的,又有效地激发了学生的学习兴趣,活跃了课堂气氛。
4.借助多媒体辅助教学,形象、生动,使课堂容量相对增加,给学生提供更多的语言实践机会,有利于语言综合运用能力的提高。
四,说学法
1.Learn how to be successful learners.:发挥学生的主观能动性,变被动学习为主动学习,带着问题有目的地听课,可以更好地把握课堂的重点和难点,提高课堂效率。
2Teach the Ss how to master conversations and how to communicate withothers.
3.“用中学,学了用”:善于抓住用英语交际的机会,充分感知,联系实际,积极体验,大胆实践。
