Reading For Writing教学设计
The writing project of this unit is to introduce a place you like, andsummarize the theme of the original text in concise language for an articleintroducing a place. This style usually uses the third person, and the tense ismainly the present tense. When writing such articles, we should pay attentionto that we should not copy the original sentences in the summary, but use ourown language, such as appropriate synonyms or synonyms, to replace the keywords, main sentences or paragraph center of the original.
1. Get students tohave a good understanding of how to introduce a place you like.
2. Instructstudents to write an essay to introduce a placeyou like.
3. Developstudents’ writing and cooperating abilities.
4. Strengthenstudents’ great interest in writing discourses.

Step1: Prediction
Look at the title and the picture and guess the topic of the text
Introduce the beauty and traditions of Ireland
Step 2:Read and find out:
1.What’s the main idea of the passage?
The beautiful scenery and its traditions.
2.What makes the Irish countryside exciting and inspiring?
The beautiful countryside scenery of the Ireland.
3.What are the best ways to experience some Irish traditions and cultures?
Drink a glass of wine or a local beer in a village pub.
4. What should you do if you wantto experience local culture and customs first-hand?
Introduce yourself to a friendly face.
Step 3: Study itslanguage features and organization
Language features:

本单元的写作项目是介绍一个你喜欢的地方,对一篇介绍某个地方的文章用简洁的语言概括原文的主题。这种文体通常用第三人称,时态以一般现在时为主。在写作此类文章时,我们要注意的是,在概要中不要照搬原文语句,而要用自己的语言,如恰当的同义词或同义句来代替原文的关键词、主旨句或段落中心大意。
在写作时要注意以下几点:
1.理清原文结构
了解文章的结构可以更好地为理解中心意思服务。
2.抓中心词和大意
找出原文的关键词、主旨句和各段落的大意,用词性转换、近义词替换、转换句型或者用概括的语言(如名词性从句)简化描述的方法来重新组织文章;然后用衔接词或合并句子的方法让概要更为流畅、凝练。
